General FAQs
What is the best time to book my preferred photo shoot?
For all of my sessions I’d highly recommend booking a few months in advance. This ensures availability for your preferred date, allows you to select a weekend date if preferred, and gives us enough time to chat about what you’d like
Where will the photo session take place?
Photo sessions take place in my cosy garden studio using professional equipment and lighting.
I also offer outdoor shoots during the warmer months, this is at a local location. Best suited for maternity and family sessions
What will my package include?
All of our photo shoots come with 10 retouched digital images on a keepsake usb, and matching 5x7 photo prints. Additional images can be added to your package for £30 each, and there will also be an option to fully upgrade your package at your photo viewing
(Prices and packing may change in the future, however all previously booked session prices will of course be honoured)
How do I pay for my session?
All sessions need to be secured with a 50% booking fee and the outstanding balance is due 2 weeks prior to the session date.
Payment to be made via bank transfer.
How do I view my images?
2-3 weeks after your session you will be invited back to the studio to view your images. This is where you will view and choose your gallery.
How do I pay for any additional images?
Payment for additional images will be taken at the viewing appointment via bank transfer
What happens after my photo viewing?
Once you have selected your favourite images and paid for any additional images I will go away and order your prints and packaging. They will be posted to my address so I can package them up nicely, and I can either post these on to you or you are welcome to come back to collect them
Maternity FAQs
When is the best time to have my maternity shoot?
Maternity sessions are usually recommended between 30-36 weeks, however if your beautiful baby bump is growing early on and that is a stage that you want to capture then feel free to get in touch. These sessions are 1 hour.
Do I need to provide my own outfits for my maternity session?
No you don't need to buy anything, I provide the outfits as these match the style of photography that you see in my portfolio. However if you have an outfit that you'd like to bring them feel free to do so.
Can family members be included?
Yes, I encourage Dads / children to come along too
Are pets welcome?

Newborn FAQs
How far in advance should I book my newborn session?
I take bookings for newborn sessions from as early as your 12-20 week scan. It is highly recommended that you book your session as early as possible from this stage to ensure availability.
What is the best age to schedule a newborn session for?
I would highly recommend scheduling your newborn session for when they are under 3 weeks of age. This is because they are more settled and sleepy within their first few days. This enables me to capture those cute curly poses that aren't always possible with an older baby. After about 3 weeks of age your baby will be more alert and has growth spurts, which can be tricky to pose.
What if my baby has already been born and I have only just found you?
If your baby has already arrived and you do not have a session booked then please contact me as I will always try my best to fit you in as soon as I can. This will however depend on my availability as I can become fully booked quite quickly.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
Once you have secured a session date I will wait to hear from you about any changes to your due date. If your baby arrives early or late then I would just ask you to let me know so we can reschedule your session as soon as possible.
What happens during the newborn session?
Once you arrive for your session and baby is fed, changed and ready to start it is time for you to sit back and relax.
This will give me the opportunity to get the images that I need and to avoid disturbing him/her as little as possible.
If needed Dad can help out with spotting baby as and when.
You are welcome to bring a book or a tablet etc to pass the time or simply enjoy watching your baby in the beautiful props.
How long does it take?
My newborn sessions usually last about 2 hours, however I’d also allow 30mins extra incase we need extra time to settle them
Will we have time to feed, soothe and change dirty nappies?
Yes of course. Although newborn sessions are 2 hours a lot of that time is spent giving baby what they need and settling them back to sleep
What if my baby doesn’t settle?
It is always easier to photograph newborns that are asleep, as I can move them easier, which allows me to spend more time photographing and get more variety for you. However as we know babies can be unpredictable at times, and therefore every newborn session is different. I will spend a certain amount of time trying to settle your baby, and if all of their needs have been attended to yet they still aren’t asleep I will just carry on with the photoshoot with them awake.

Birthday FAQs
When is the best time to schedule our birthday session in for?
Birthday sessions are best being scheduled for when your baby is 11-13 months, however if you'd like your images back in time for the big day then I'd recommend having your session at least 4 weeks prior. This is so your images can be retouched, printed and delivered in time

Do you provide clothing?
Yes I can provide the clothing for your little one, however you are also welcome to bring clothes with your if you wish. I’d recommend sticking to a light and neutral colour palette
Can anyone else join in the photos?
I wouldn’t usually recommend having photos with parents during a cake smash sessions as it can get messy, and we have lots of fun stuff to squeeze into the hour session. However I’d be happy to take one or two with parents at the end of the session.
Please note, if you want parents And siblings included then a family session add-on would need to be booked instead
Do you provide the cake?
Yes, assuming there are no allergies I provide a small, naked soft cake for your session
What if we don’t want a cake?
Some people want to book a birthday session to mark this special occasion, but they don’t want a cake. No worries, I have other birthday props that we can use instead

After the sticky messy cake we pop your little one in a warm bubble bath with cute yellow ducks to finish off the session nicely and wash that cake off
