The simple answer is yes! And in fact that IS the answer, however I am writing this blog to explain why
Keepsakes
Having wonderful pictures to look back on is everything. Of course I think that way because photography is my passion, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing what I do.. but its very true. Materialistic items come and go through our lives, be we always keep those family photo albums which will be passed down our family for generations
Quality
We all have a camera roll on our phones that is filled with hundreds of photos of our children, but have you ever tried printing those photos? You might just get away with a 6x4 print which is the size of a standard postcard, but if you go any bigger you completely lose the quality of the image. Where as printing a high resolution image that was taken on a DSLR camera by a professional Photographer allows you to print BIG
The experience
The experience of a photoshoot is everything. Watching your little one dressed up in cute outfits and having that interaction with a Photographer is priceless. After all it’s not just about the photos themselves, it’s also about enjoying the experience. In my studio I have created a comfortable, relaxing place for you to come and enjoy your photoshoot. It’s also a lovely way to capture the connection between you and your baby, having some Mummy and me photos during your session.
Allowing you all to be in the photos
When was the last time you managed to get a family photo of you ALL that you loved and that wasn’t done using a self timer on the back of your camera phone?
Booking a professional photo shoot means yes YOU can be in the photos too!
Children’s self-esteem
Its a proven fact that when a child grows up seeing photos of them around the house it improves their sense of worth and their self-esteem
Hassle-free
As a Mother myself I know how stressful it can be to try to get that perfect picture of your baby looking at the camera, or that perfect smile or pose. It often ends in ‘oh I give up!’
But when allowing someone else to take this stress away from you, to do the funny noises and pull those silly faces to get your baby's attention it means you can sit back and relax knowing that perfect shot is being taken care of. As a baby Photographer I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get your babies attention to deliver you stress free images
Value for money
Im sure we can all admit that we spend crazy money on things for our littles ones, and although that is lovely these are probably all things that will get thrown away, sold or passed on months or years later. Such as a brand new pram set worth £700, or decorating the nursery for £1000.
Our highest package is currently £349 and these photos will be kept, cherished and looked after for years. It seems like a no-brainer
Gifts
One of the things that I love when I meet up with my customers at their viewing appointment is when they get excited about sharing their images with family members. Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles LOVE being gifted with photos of their new family member, and so investing in a photoshoot followed by some basic frames from a local home store will save you a tonne of money in the long run when you are thinking of gift ideas for the family
Having no regrets
One of the most heartbreaking things I hear people say is that they regret not having newborn photos taken, or not having any taken for their first baby.
Im lucky enough to have lots of photos of my little girl because it was a priority of mine to make sure I captured those memories, for myself and for her when she was older. However this does seem to be something that I hear a lot and for that reason this would have to be my main reason to book a professional photoshoot. Have no regrets!
