Do you fancy something a little bit different for your photoshoot?
Do you have a very special fur baby that you’d like to include as much as you can when your newborn baby arrives?
If you aren’t already aware I am a huge HUGE dog lover, and I encourage bringing your fur babies to your shoot (providing they are house-trained of course!)
Photographing animals with babies can be so beautiful and it is something a little different too, which I’m totally here for.
I’ve heard the saying ‘never work with animals or babies’ … but that is a mix that I find utterly magical!
Of course we can’t always control the situation or our dogs behaviour at the time, and so nothing is guaranteed, but if we can get that shot of both your babies together then it’ll be so worth it!!
So if it’s something that you’d consider doing you might need a bit of guidance to help prepare for this:
Bring treats
Dogs are easier to bribe than toddlers, and that’s the truth
Carry them
If the weather outside isn’t great then it could be very muddy, so please do plan to carry your pet straight from the car into the studio.
Don’t set any expectations
Just like babies, dogs can be a little unpredictable so be ready to go with the flow. We will try our best to capture some lovely images, no matter how well they sit still on the day
Consider booking a groom
If you are having some photos with your baby then you’ll probably have your hair and makeup done, so why not pamper your dog so they look fresh too
Bring their water bowl
We can fill it up in the studio
Did I mention, bring treats!
Treats, treats, and more treats
Ps - want to bring your cat, parrot or house rabbit? I love all animals so I’m open to all kinds of animal siblings, provided they don’t poop on me!
If you’ve got an upcoming shoot with me and are thinking about bringing a pet then please do let me know prior to your shoot, so I can plan for it too
