I thought I’d take a few minutes to come back to the blog again to introduce you to myself and my photography studio.
When I first started my website I did an introductory blog however lots has changed since then - me, my way of working, my photography style, my studio, my customers etc - So if you’d like to get to know me and what my baby photography business is about then keep please reading x
Your Photographer
Hi, my name is Annie and I am 35 years old. I am a very proud Mummy to my beautiful daughter who is my everything. She is 2 going on 22 and very sassy! I’m not sure who she gets it from 🙈
I’ve had previous jobs in the past, admin, reception etc and then followed on to be a care worker for 10 years for elderly residents with dementia. This was a very challenging job that brought lots of heartache, lots of rewards and lots of growth. I loved the community that I worked in but knew I wanted to do something to bring out my creative side.
My friends started having babies, and I’d recently been gifted a DSLR camera so I decided to put the two together and get some practice. I dipped in and out of weddings, parties, children and other types of photography, and that’s when I knew that this was more than just a hobby.
Over the next 5 years I studied hard, worked harder to saved up some money for the business, and then once I was confident enough I started to bring in free baby models to build up my portfolio.
I reduced my work hours at the care home, and opened by baby photography business officially. This was the best move I’d ever made.
A couple of years later I was in a good position to leave my day job and do the photography full time.
I have since got married and was blessed with our beautiful daughter ❤️
I love what I do more and more each day. I get to cuddle babies full time and meet wonderful families.
The studio
The cosy studio is purpose built and is located in my home garden in Aldershot Hampshire, which is easily reached from Camberley, Fleet, Farnham, Guildford and Bracknell areas.
It is the perfect size for newborns and babies, and has a homely relaxed feel.
During sessions we use professional studio equipment & lighting, soothing sounds to settle your baby and access to our accessories & props.
We also have a wardrobe for maternity shoots, and for babies from newborn up to size 12-18 months
We offer 5 different photo shoots:
Birthday photoshoots (cake optional)
Our photography style is kept inline across all of our photoshoots. With a light and airy style, using only neutral colours and natural wooden props, this means that we can deliver you a timeless and authentic photo gallery
All of our packages currently come with 10 fully edited high resolution images that will be presented on a keepsake usb. You will also have the option to buy additional images for £20 each.
During your photo session we will schedule a viewing appointment for 2-3 weeks later, for you to come back to the studio to view your images. This is when you can opt in to buy additional images.
