Things To Do (For Yourself) Before Your Baby Arrives

Your whole entire life as you know it will change the moment that your baby arrives! And so you should truly take some 'me' time to concentrate on getting some important things done, ticking some things off that bucket list, and just pampering yourself. Because after all, once that sweet little cherub arrives you'll have sleepless nights (and days), chores up to your eye balls, endless appointments, your house will be flooded with visitors... and of course you'll just want precious time to chill with your new baby.

I have put together a little list of things that you could do for yourself, before your world changes.. for the best :)

~ Get your hair, nails, lashes done etc (So you still feel like a lady, underneath all of that hospital ickyness!)

~ Take a holiday/Babymoon (Time to chill whilst you can)

~ Have a girls night, in or out (Catch up with friends whilst your still you, and not feeling like just a 'Mum')

~ Have some date nights with your partner (As we all know that this wont happen once baby arrives.. unless you have babysitters on tap)

~ Treat yourself to something special (Because soon all of your spare money will be spent on those cute baby clothes that you can't resist buying)

~ Retail therapy (buy something that makes you happy.. even if it is just cosy PJs and warm bed socks!)

~ Enjoy a pregnancy massage (who doesn't love massages!)

~ Enjoy a long soak in a hot bubble bath with your favourite music (It is very rare that you'll be able to do this when you are breast feeding, changing nappies, and flooded with visitors)

~ See all of the good movies that you've been meaning to watch, and read all of the books that you've been wanting to (As it might take you 10 decades to get through this otherwise)

~ Book a maternity photo shoot (Okay this may not be for everyone, but this is still a time that you can feel good about yourself and a special time to remember)

~ Book a newborn photo shoot for when your sweet baby arrives (This will be a special day out for you, and to leave you with memories of them being so small)

... and most importantly, SLEEP!

Of course there are plenty of other things that need to be done before your baby arrives, like things to buy, a special little room to get ready etc... but I will save that for my next blog! THIS is the time to focus on you.
