Choosing a name for your baby is a very exciting time!...Trying to find something that both Mum & Dad agree on can sometimes be a little bit more tricky.
Even if you are both lucky enough to fall in love with the same name it may be sensible to have a couple of backup names incase it just doesn't 'suit' your baby when you first see them.
Here are some of the top 10 girls and boys names from 2018:

Some other commonly used names were Logan, Lucas, Ethan and Noah. And for the girls Emily, Charlotte, Maisie and Ameliee.
Earlier this year it was also predicted that food-inspired baby names looked set to become one of the biggest trends of 2018 with names like Saffron, Honey, Basil and Berry soaring in popularity.
You should also consider how the name may be shortened into a nick name when they are older, and if the name compliments any middle names and the surname.
